Terugbetalingsbeleid
Herroepingsrecht binnen 14 dagen (wettelijk)
Als consument in de Europese Unie heb je het recht om je bestelling binnen 14 dagen na ontvangst te herroepen, zonder opgave van reden. Je mag het artikel uitpakken en beoordelen zoals je dat in een winkel zou doen. Gebruik je het artikel meer dan nodig om het te beoordelen, dan kunnen we een waardevermindering in mindering brengen op je terugbetaling.
Dit herroepingsrecht geldt niet voor:
- bederfelijke goederen (bv. voeding, bloemen, planten);
- artikelen die op maat of gepersonaliseerd zijn gemaakt;
- verzegelde artikelen die om hygiënische redenen niet geschikt zijn om te retourneren als de verzegeling na levering is verbroken (bv. bepaalde persoonlijke verzorgingsproducten).
Om je herroepingsrecht uit te oefenen, laat je ons dit binnen de 14 dagen weten via info@troetelshop.com.
Verlengd retourbeleid: 30 dagen (vrijwillig)
Bovenop het wettelijke minimum geven we je extra bedenktijd: je hebt 30 dagen na ontvangst om een retour aan te vragen. Voor deze verlengde periode (dag 15 t.e.m. 30) gelden bijkomende voorwaarden: het artikel moet in dezelfde staat zijn als je het hebt ontvangen — niet gedragen of gebruikt, met labels, in de originele verpakking — en je hebt het aankoopbewijs nodig.
Voor deze vrijwillige verlenging zijn ook artikelen in de uitverkoop en cadeaubonnen uitgesloten (dit geldt niet voor het wettelijke herroepingsrecht van de eerste 14 dagen hierboven).
Een retour starten
Neem contact met ons op via info@troetelshop.com om een retour of herroeping aan te vragen. Retourneer nooit iets zonder eerst contact met ons op te nemen — pakketten die worden teruggestuurd zonder aangevraagde retour, worden niet geaccepteerd.

Schade en problemen
Inspecteer je bestelling bij ontvangst en neem onmiddellijk contact met ons op via info@troetelshop.com als het artikel defect of beschadigd is, of als je het verkeerde artikel hebt ontvangen.
Wettelijke garantie
Los van dit retourbeleid geniet je als consument van de wettelijke conformiteitsgarantie van 2 jaar op gebreken die al aanwezig waren bij levering. Neem bij een gebrek binnen deze termijn contact met ons op via info@troetelshop.com.
Omruilen
De snelste manier om het gewenste artikel te krijgen: retourneer het artikel dat je hebt, en koop het nieuwe artikel apart zodra je retour is goedgekeurd.
Terugbetaling
Bij herroeping binnen de wettelijke 14 dagen: we betalen terug binnen 14 dagen nadat je ons je herroeping hebt gemeld, via dezelfde betaalmethode als je bestelling. We mogen wachten met terugbetalen tot we het artikel hebben ontvangen, of tot je een bewijs van verzending hebt geleverd.
Bij een retour binnen de verlengde termijn van 30 dagen: na ontvangst en inspectie van je retour laten we je weten of deze is goedgekeurd. Bij goedkeuring betalen we automatisch terug binnen 10 werkdagen, via dezelfde betaalmethode.
Het kan enige tijd duren voordat je bank of kaartuitgever de terugbetaling verwerkt en zichtbaar maakt. Is het meer dan 15 werkdagen geleden dat we je retour hebben goedgekeurd? Neem dan contact op via info@troetelshop.com.
14-day right of withdrawal (statutory)
As a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your order within 14 days of receipt, without giving any reason. You may unpack and examine the item as you would in a shop. If you use the item beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, we may deduct a reasonable amount for any diminished value.
This right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- perishable goods (e.g. food, flowers, plants);
- custom-made or personalised items;
- sealed items that are not suitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed after delivery (e.g. certain personal-care products).
To exercise your right of withdrawal, let us know within the 14 days via info@troetelshop.com.
Extended 30-day return policy (voluntary)
On top of the legal minimum, we give you extra time to decide: you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. For this extended period (days 15–30), additional conditions apply: the item must be in the same condition you received it — unworn or unused, with tags, in its original packaging — and you'll need proof of purchase.
Sale items and gift cards are excluded from this voluntary extension (this exclusion does not apply to the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal above).
Starting a return
Contact us at info@troetelshop.com to request a return or withdrawal. Please don't send anything back before contacting us — packages sent back without a requested return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately at info@troetelshop.com if an item is defective or damaged, or if you received the wrong item.
Statutory warranty
Separately from this return policy, you benefit as a consumer from the statutory 2-year conformity guarantee for defects that already existed at the time of delivery. If a defect appears within this period, contact us at info@troetelshop.com.
Exchanges
The fastest way to get the item you want: return the item you have, and make a separate purchase for the new item once your return is approved.
Refunds
Withdrawal within the statutory 14 days: we will refund you within 14 days of being notified of your withdrawal, using the original payment method. We may withhold the refund until we've received the item back, or until you've provided proof of return shipment.
Return within the extended 30-day window: once we've received and inspected your return, we'll let you know if it's approved. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded within 10 business days via the original payment method.
It can take some time for your bank or card issuer to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your return, please contact us at info@troetelshop.com.
